USACOMP Technology specializes in providing Information Technology (IT) solutions and services to the healthcare market in Africa that improves patient care and cash flows.
We develop, install, train and maintain solutions for hospitals, clinics, pathology laboratories, radiology departments and multi-disciplinary medical clusters in the private and public sectors.
We work with a wide range of local in-country partners who assist us to install and support our growing base of customers in Africa. This tried and tested solution is multi-lingual and supports multiple hospitals, pharmacies, currencies, cost centres and branches.
USACOMP Technology specializes in the implementation and support of Healthcare and Hospital Information Systems in Africa. Our staff have installed more than 10 hospitals over the past five years and have a total of more than 15 man-years experience relating to IT in healthcare, covering private, industrial (mining), and public health facilities.
We understand the market and have extensive expertise in training staff and maintaining solutions in remote locations;
Offers a low cost of ownership with high performance database that is easy to query for management information and decision making;
Single powerful but flexible billing engine catering for Medical Aids, Insurers, Employers and saving plans;
We are good at managing cash receipts in multiple currencies;
One screen for Pharmacy dispensing (in-hospital, retail, and point-of-sale) with integrated stock control;
Integrated practice management and ancillary billing for Multi-disciplinary clusters with pharmacies and day clinics;

The management of USACOMP Technology has a strong belief in the long term future of Cote d’Ivoire and Africa. Through our Ivorian subsidiary we are currently involved in a full-scale marketing exercise to provide services and solutions.
In support of this view, iPAS was acquired in 2007 and current users are offered a trouble-free upgrade path, thereby ensuring they continue functioning smoothly in changing markets.
The majority of USACOMP Technology staff have at least 3-5 years’ experience in Health IT. This involvement has resulted in excellent relationships with the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare, Ministry of Information Technology and the Private Hospital Association of Cote d’Ivoire.
Our EDI communication with CIMAS was approved and since October 2007 account claims are submitted electronically, thereby speeding payments and remittance advices. Other Medical Aids should soon follow suit.
USACOMP Technology is committed to supporting all our customers using TriMed, HOSP and iPAS. New staff members have been appointed with infrastructure established in Harare in support of the Ivorian clients.
New solutions like TriLab and TriRis have been introduced to address the Pathology and Radiology markets
We have established relationships with various Ivorian IT companies to enable us to provide our clients with a one-stop support service.
USACOMP Technology Healthcare (WA) Ltd was established in 2007 to provide IT solutions to the health care market in West Africa that improves patient care and cash flow.
The company will install, train staff, and maintain systems for hospitals, clinics, pathology laboratories, radiology departments and multi-disciplinary medical clusters in the private and public sector.
The first hospital customer in Abidjan using USACOMP Technology went live in 2010. They installed TriMed, an integrated web-based HMIS at the hospital in Abidjan serving five on-line remote clinics.TriMed allows them a corporate (bird’s eye) view of:
Waiting lists and back logs in every clinic in real time mode
Stock control and management in every pharmacy with inter pharmacy transfers
Billing on a real time basis (split between their private and Funded patients (like AAR members)
Revenue and stats per “branch” location
Centralised electronic patient record (EPR) showing clinical and financial records per patient visit (across all branches)
Caters for Mpeza payments and NHIF claims and payments
Stock includes generics, batch control with expiry dates, consignment stock, packs and linked items
Individual limits for OP and IP visits (including pharmacy items)
Payments in multi-currency, pre-payments and batch payments
The use of mobile communication and modern web-based solutions has facilitated faster implementation, a sustainable network and high customer satisfaction, proving a better and more robust solution than conventional technology.
